also see our Youtube.com updated Friday, April 1, 2011 9:18 PMThis is the country’s biggest Halloween celebration and the only major one taking place at night. Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers take to the streets in amazing costumes to join about 50 bands, dancers and artists performing on the night. The crowd of spectators swells the numbers attending to over two million and the celebrations can be seen live on television. The event was created back in 1973 by a Greenwich Village mask maker and puppeteer and has become one of the Big Apple’s best-loved traditions.

Sixth Avenue (from Spring to 23rd Streets). Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 7 p.m. Line-up for those who want to be IN the Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m.
In New York's Greenwich Village, on 6th Avenue South of Spring Street & above Canal right across from the Arts Center, the Halloween Parade's Theatrical Home in NYC !

Today working on picture poem links starting around "better" (August 03, 2012). Picture poems are the digital format of work I did as a street artist in New Orleans in the 1970s, as well as New York City, Honolulu, San Francisco and Adelaide South Australia.
